Nisargadatta Gita - Message of Nisargadatta Maharaj
with commentary by 'Pradeep Apte'
Conviction is the only technique and the only initiation by the Guru is: you are not the body but only the ‘I am’ without words.
For the many who have read a lot and moved from Guru to Guru, ‘initiation’ and ‘technique’ have been found to be very commonly handed over by the Guru to the disciples. Expecting something quite similar they are taken aback on confronting a true Guru who says that conviction is the only technique. And what is that conviction about? It is that I am not the body but only the knowledge ‘I am’ without words, which he says is the only initiation. This is something very basic, simple and straightforward that one comes across and the beauty of it is that it does not conform to any conventional religion.
