Nisargadatta Gita - Message of Nisargadatta Maharaj
with commentary by 'Pradeep Apte'
The primary illusion is only this knowingness ‘I am’; it is liberation when the knowingness is transformed to non-knowingness.
The culprit-in-chief is this sense of ‘being’ or knowing that ‘I am’. Liberation means to be done away with the ‘I am’ or its complete irreversible disappearance and what would that mean? A state completely devoid of any concepts or any illusion as the primary concept or illusion ‘I am’ has been transcended. It is a state of not-knowingness, with no content and no experience.
