Nisargadatta Gita - Message of Nisargadatta Maharaj
with commentary by 'Pradeep Apte'

The primary illusion is only this knowingness I am; it is liberation when the knowingness is transformed to non-knowingness.

The culprit-in-chief is this sense of being or knowing that I am. Liberation means to be done away with the I am or its complete irreversible disappearance and what would that mean? A state completely devoid of any concepts or any illusion as the primary concept or illusion I am has been transcended. It is a state of not-knowingness, with no content and no experience.
